The scope of this Call concerns the selection of project proposals which must include both Industrial Research and Experimental Development activities to be conducted in the reference context of SERICS Spoke 10 and must be aimed at: • increasing the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of research activities in the reference area;• identify, analyze and where feasible create applications and tools (or parts and/or versions of them) aimed at supporting the topics being researched within Spoke 10. 

Who is it aimed at?

This Notice finances Research and Development Projects presented by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (hereinafter also MSMEs) having the dimensional parameters set out in Annex I of EU Regulation 2014/651 of the Commission of 17 June 2014 which declares certain categories of aid compatible with the internal market in application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty (Text with EEA relevance), including innovative start-ups and excluding sole proprietorships. The projects can be presented: • individually (single Proposer) or • in partnership between MSMEs. Furthermore, this Notice finances Research and Development Projects in partnership for Large Enterprises (GI), external to the SERICS partnership, provided that the requirement of collaboration with at least one MSME persists. 

What does it predict

Research and Development Projects to be carried out in one or more thematic areas can be financed. The projects must be characterized by an increase in the level of technological maturity, with a shift from industrial research to innovation closer to the market. It is not permitted to submit projects that require a contribution lower or higher than €654,077.20. Each Project must submit a funding request as follows: • max 70% of the total funding requested in industrial research; • max 30% of the total funding requested in experimental development.
