MIMIT has approved the 2024 edition of the Road Transport Vehicle Fleet Renewal Notice, the incentive that supports the renewal of vehicles of goods haulage companies with the aim of improving the environmental and safety impact. For the 2024 edition of the incentive, €25 million has been foreseen, divided into the three types of investments.
Eligible Subjects
The contribution can be requested by road hauliers of goods at the cost of third parties that are active in Italy and registered in the national electronic register and in the Register of road hauliers of goods on behalf of third parties, whose main activity is the road haulage of goods.
What it finances
purchase, also through financial leasing, of brand new commercial vehicles, used for the transport of goods with a total mass at full load equal to or greater than 3.5 tonnes with alternative traction to CNG methane, LNG liquefied natural gas, hybrid and electric, as well as the acquisition of devices suitable for converting thermally powered goods transport vehicles into electrically powered vehicles;
- cancellation for scrapping of commercial vehicles with a total weight at full load equal to or greater than 3.5 tonnes, with simultaneous acquisition, also through financial leasing, of new commercial vehicles;
- acquisition, also through financial leasing, of trailers and semi-trailers.
Facilitation
The relief supports road haulage companies with the granting of a variable contribution, based on the type of vehicle admitted, up to a maximum amount of €24,000 per vehicle.
