The MNESYS Program entitled “A multiscale integrated approach to the study of the nervous system inhealth and disease” financed by the European Union – Next Generation EU” on PNRR funds “MUR Mission 4 Component 2” “From research to business” Investment 1.3 . “Creation of Partnerships Extended to universities, research centers and companies for the financing of basic research projects” promotes a scheme based on cascade funding (Cascade funding) to support fundamental research activity in the field of “neuroscience ” that are original, medium-large in size and have a low technological maturity level (TRL).

Who is it aimed at?

The following can request the benefits referred to in this Notice: • Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), external to the MNESYS Project, which compete in single mode, having the dimensional parameters referred to in Annex I of REG (EC) no. 800/2008 of the Commission of 6 August 2008 (General Block Exemption Regulation) in OJEU L 214 of 9.8.2008. • Large Enterprises (GI), external to the MNESYS Project, which compete in single mode.

What does it predict

The research topic referred to in this announcement is the following: “Novel implantable neuroelectronic devices for identification of biomarkers of epileptogenic activity using high-resolution microelectrode arrays.” Proposers may request a minimum contribution of €95,000 and a maximum of €190,000. The duration of implementation of the project cannot exceed 12 months starting from the date of signing of the mandatory deed. The benefit will be in the form of a non-repayable contribution. The aid intensity is 100% as it concerns fundamental research activities.
