The DIGITAL ACE, Artisanal and Cooperative Enterprises Digital Innovation Hub is promoted by the PICO Foundation (Digital Innovation Hub of Legacoop), Legacoop Nazionale and CNA National Confederation of Crafts and Small and Medium Enterprises. It aims, through a Hub and 34 territorial Spokes, to raise awareness and bring companies closer to the opportunities of digital transformation, accompanying them on a path of analysis and knowledge of the situation from which they start, and of exploration of development possibilities, up to the definition of a action plan and the identification of possibilities for using specialist services for digital transformation and technology transfer. Digital ACE is among the projects admitted by the Public Notice of the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy (MIMIT) for the identification and selection of "Innovation Poles" within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Mission 4 " Education and research” (Component 2 “From research to business”), Investment 2.3 “Strengthening and thematic and territorial extension of technology transfer centers by industry segments”, financed by the European Union – Next Generation EU. 

Who is it aimed at?

It is aimed at SMEs nationwide, mainly cooperatives and artisans. It intends to involve 7,500 cooperative and artisan businesses with awareness and information activities and accompany 1,000 businesses - of which 43% are present in the South and on the Islands - in digital transformation paths through assessment and post assessment services. 

What does it predict

The innovative hub makes human and financial resources available to companies to help companies in an assessment and post-assessment process.

Through the assessment service, companies can obtain an analysis of the company's digital maturity through a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the different company dimensions, the propensity for innovation and digitalisation; of the mindset for innovation that human resources have, of the connection with development elements of the sustainability dimension. After completing the assessment and obtaining a descriptive report, companies access the post assessment service, which includes:- Digital Innovation Roadmap: the development of an action plan, with proposals for innovation and digital transformation objectives and practical indications on how to develop actions to achieve them. - Specialist orientation: in-depth analysis, with the support of experts, on specific aspects of the strategy digital of the company developed through the Roadmap, so as to understand how a technology or process can impact results, organization and business model. - Next step and digital transformation: in this phase, the company can explore, with the support of operators, opportunities for connection with European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH), Seal of Excellence, Competence Centers or network transforming companies for start the company's digital transformation journey and implement its action plan.
