The call finances interventions, on the national territory and internationally, aimed at:
a) support and increase the marketing of agri-food products designated by a PDO or PGI;
b) develop information and dissemination actions to improve communication on the origin, properties, characteristics and qualities of agri-food products designated by a PDO or PGI;
c) support actions for the development of agri-food products designated by a PDO or PGI;
d) increase the representativeness of the protection consortia within the relevant production chains.
Beneficiaries
The following subjects are eligible to apply for the grant:
a) Protection consortia;
b) temporary associations between protection consortia.
What it finances
a) information campaigns, in particular on the systems of designations of origin and geographical indications;
b) actions regarding public relations, promotion and advertising conveyed through the main traditional means of communication (for example, press, TV, radio, billboards and merchandising) and digital channels (for example, web and new media actions via social networks) , which highlight the high standards of agri-food products, in particular in terms of quality, food safety or sustainability;
c) participation in trade fairs and exhibitions of national and international importance;
d) dissemination, information and training activities aimed at operators in the distribution sector and the HO.RE.CA. channel;
e) development costs, such as application of the results of basic research or other knowledge, aimed at modifying the production specifications of products designated by PDO or PGI, which determine, in compliance with tradition, improvements in terms of sustainability.
Subsidy
The available financial allocation amounts to €25,000,000.00.
The benefit consists of a capital contribution:
- not exceeding 300,000.00 euros for consortia;
- not exceeding 500,000.00 euros for consortium associations.
A contribution of less than 60,000.00 cannot be requested.
