The call intends to pursue the following objectives:
- Enhance and promote knowledge of Lombardy's tangible and intangible cultural heritage through innovative initiatives and projects;
- Support cultural events and manifestations that involve multiple local entities and build valid forms of collaboration;
- Spread culture as a tool for aggregation, social inclusion and revitalization of territories and communities through the support of young people in exercising and accessing cultural activities;
- Promote full accessibility and usability of contents by a wide audience with particular attention to frailties (motor, sensory and cognitive disabilities);
- Promote cultural projects even in unconventional places and peripheral areas;
- Enhance cultural initiatives leading up to the 2026 Winter Olympic Games which are located in Lombardy locations close to the event venues or which promote Olympic values;
- Support unique, high-level events to promote Lombardy's cultural institutes and places in 2024 on the occasion of particular anniversaries, celebrations or visits of international importance.
Eligible subjects
They can benefit from the benefits:
- 1. “MUSEUMS” LINE
- Public bodies and private non-profit entities that are:
- owners or managers of museum collections or non-state museums
- coordinators of local museum systems
- promoters of regional museum networks.
- 2. “LIBRARIES AND HISTORICAL ARCHIVES” LINE
- Public bodies and private entities (non-profit), owners or managers of libraries in the Lombardy area, which guarantee their opening to the public and which are associated with a library system or already participate operationally in the SBN cooperation;
- Lombardy library systems;
- Public bodies and private non-profit entities that own or manage historical archives in Lombardy and guarantee their opening to the public.
- 3. LINE “UNESCO RECOGNITIONS AND NON-STATE ARCHAEOLOGICAL AREAS AND PARKS”
- Public bodies, public law bodies and private non-profit entities having the availability of the assets or identified with a formal deed for their valorisation and/or management
- 4. “INTANGIBLE HERITAGE” LINE
- Public bodies and private institutions, public law bodies, which operate in the non-profit cultural field;
- Cultural institutions, recognized ecomuseums, universities, foundations, research centres.
- 5. “CULTURAL ITINERARIES, WALKS, WIDESPREAD CULTURAL HERITAGE” LINE
- Public or private non-profit entities, recognized ecomuseums, public law bodies, which have consolidated experience (at least two years) in projects for the promotion, valorisation, redevelopment, enjoyment of cultural paths and itineraries;
- Public or private non-profit entities, public law bodies, having the availability of the assets connected to the routes, or identified with a formal deed for their valorisation and/or management
What it finances
Eligible expenses are exclusively those directly attributable to the project and may concern:
- Project implementation costs
- Promotion and communication costs
- Hospitality costs
- Personnel costs (permanent, temporary or project-based employees and similar personnel, reimbursements for expenses of volunteers involved in the project)
- operating costs of the structure.
Facilitation
- The financial resources amount to a total of €2,320,000.
- The maximum contribution that can be paid is equal to €35,000.00 and cannot exceed 70% of the overall cost of the approved project.
