The ministerial decree of 5 March 2018 defines a new facilitation in favor of research and development projects promoted within the technological areas: – Smart factory – Agrifood – Life sciences consistent with the National Smart Specialization Strategy, approved by the European Commission in April 2016.
Who is it aimed at?
Eligible entities are companies of any size that carry out industrial, agro-industrial, artisan and industrial services activities (activities referred to in art. 2195 of the Civil Code, nos. 1, 3 and 5), and research centres. For joint projects only (up to three, for the one-stop procedure and up to five for the negotiation one), also the research organizations and, for the projects of the "Agrifood" application sector, also the agricultural companies that carry out the referred to in the art. 2135 cc The benefits can be granted in the form of a contribution to expenditure and subsidized financing, in an amount consistent with the limits set by Regulation (EU) no. 651/2014.
What does it predict
The facilitation intervention will be implemented according to two different procedures: negotiation evaluation, envisaged for the Innovation Agreements, as per the ministerial decree of 24 May 2017 (pdf), for projects with eligible costs of between 5 and 40 million euros in the within the technological areas "Smart Factory", "Agrifood" and "Life Sciences". one-stop evaluation, as per the ministerial decree of 1 June 2016 (pdf), for projects with eligible costs between 800 thousand and 5 million euros in the "Intelligent Factory" and "Agrifood" technological areas.
