Cascade call for Spoke 9 of the “CN of Research for Agricultural Technologies issued pursuant to art. 5 of Ministerial Decree n. 3138/2021 for the measurement, certification and valorisation of the quality, origin, typicality, safety and sustainability of products, processes, supply chains and agri-food companies. 

Who is it aimed at?

Private individuals can benefit from the resources and benefits referred to in this notice (such as individual businesses pursuant to art. 2082 of the civil code, partnerships and capital companies pursuant to articles 2247 et seq. of the civil code, associations and foundations pursuant to articles. 14 et seq. of the Civil Code, ordinary consortia pursuant to articles 2602 et seq. of the Civil Code) and public research institutions, including universities and bodies referred to in Legislative Decree no. 218/2016, provided they are external to the National Centre. 

What does it predict

Call to support research activities for the following areas: 1-Digitization of supply chain traceability; 2-The objective of the cascade call is the creation of a video game capable of simulating operations, technological solutions, and the flow of data described in the case of use on traceability in the beef supply chain, extending the approach also to olive oil and the wine supply chain. With the videogame we intend to spread knowledge of the concept of interoperable traceability that WP4 is developing, linking digital solutions to the sustainability and quality of products; 3-Innovative analysis and interpretation methodologies on experimental bases to identify and trace authenticity, the origin and sustainability of production; The planned activities aim to implement sampling and data collection protocols to support the definition of authenticity, quality, origin, safety and sustainability of raw materials and products relating to the supply chains: 1 . cereal (wheat); 2. fruit and vegetables (tomato); 3. dairy; 4. honey;4-Smart and digital solutions based on rapid and real time methods to solve problems related to the traceability of dairy production;5-New devices for the detection of Co2 in the agricultural sector;6-Demonstrator of the wine and oil protocol with specific techniques (to be finalized); 7-Analyze the methodology for evaluating the sustainability performance of agricultural businesses, testing in particular the indicators and metrics useful for the so-called Sustainability Summary, the result of the activities of Task 9.2.2., suggesting possible improvements ;8-Define a protocol model for measuring the sustainability and quality of suppliers of one or more leading companies in the supply chain;9-Measurement, communication and efficiency improvement of the social impact of agri-food companies: development of the methodology and concrete applications;10- Creation of a dataset for the study of the absorption potential of Carbon Farming practices (in order to support the efficiency of monitoring, verification and communication of carbon absorption);11-Activities related to the research service for the development of a model decision support for the selection of agri-food products through the evaluation of environmental, economic and nutritional aspects; 12-Research on spatial methodologies for the creation of a database with sustainability indicators of agri-food systems.
