The “National Quantum Science and Technology Institute – NQSTI” PE00000023 Program is financed by the European Union – Next Generation EU on PNRR MUR funds Mission 4 Component 2 “From research to business” Investment 1.3. “Creation of partnerships extended to universities, research centers and companies for the financing of basic research projects”. In order to allow the achievement of the set objectives and in compliance with the provisions of the MUR Notice n.341 of 20 March 2022, the EP promotes an implementation scheme which envisages, among other things, the financing of projects with cascade calls ( Cascade funding) to support research activities and encourage collaboration with other research bodies, in order to fully achieve the project objectives in the field of quantum sciences and technologies.
Who is it aimed at?
Public and private research organizations (universities, public research bodies, research institutes), individually, which carry out their activities in the field of quantum sciences and technologies and offer useful skills, can apply for this call. to achieve the project objectives and which have an operational headquarters in Italy. Specifically, 57.5% of the subsidy is aimed at research organizations that have an active operational headquarters in the South (Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily). The office must be active and operational at the time of submission of the application.
What does it predict
This announcement contributes to the reduction of the territorial gaps between the more and less developed regions of the Italian territory, within the scope of the "NQSTI" EP approved with funding granting decree n.1564 of 10/11/2022, having as its objective the financing of industrial research and fundamental research projects. This aim is pursued through the provision of appropriate funding to research and knowledge dissemination organizations (hereinafter Od R), as defined pursuant to Regulation (EU) no. 651/2014 point 83, on the national territory and, for 55%, in the regions of Southern Italy: Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily.
