The facilitative measure supports the research and development projects of companies, to be carried out in the territory of the Province of Trento, also carried out jointly with other entities, distinguished by the mark of excellence which certifies their quality, no later than 6 months prior to the date of submission of the application, within the framework of the Horizon 2020 program or the Horizon Europe program and belonging to the areas of priority interest/strategic projects defined by the multiannual research program (PPR) referred to in article 18 of provincial law no. 14/2005.
Who is it aimed at?
The initiative is aimed at small and medium-sized businesses that meet the required requirements. The research and development projects must be attributable to the following activities: - industrial research; - experimental development; - feasibility studies. The eligible projects must: - be carried out within an operational unit located in the territory of the Province of Trento; - be started after the date of submission of the application to the European Commission and within 3 months from the date of granting the incentive; - be completed within 3 years from the date of granting of the incentive or from the start date if subsequent to the date of granting. For the purposes of granting the incentive, projects with an admitted expenditure amount exceeding 1 million euros are subject to the signing of an agreement between the Province and the company requesting the incentive. Territorial development objectives and obligations are shared in the Pact.
What does it predict
A non-repayable contribution is envisaged under the exemption regime equal to the facilitation measure recognized by the European Commission for the initiative under the rules of the Horizon 2020 program or the Horizon Europe programme. The minimum permitted expenditure must be greater than 1,000,000 euros. There are no maximum spending limits. Applications are examined through a negotiation procedure.
