With a directorial decree of 16 October 2023, the official opening of the second desk for the submission of applications regarding the 2023 Innovation Manager Voucher was announced, an initiative aimed at supporting the innovation and digital transformation of Italian companies.

- SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises)
- Business networks composed of a minimum of three SMEs
Economic benefits:
- Micro and small businesses will be able to benefit from a non-repayable fund of up to 50% of the costs incurred each year, with a maximum ceiling of 40,000 euros.
- Medium-sized businesses will have access to a non-repayable fund of up to 30% of annual costs, up to a maximum limit of 25,000 euros.
- Business networks will be able to benefit from a non-repayable fund that covers up to 50% of the expenses incurred, up to a maximum of 80,000 euros.
Eligible Expenses: Qualifying expenses involve compensation for specialist advice provided by a qualified, independent innovation manager. The professional, temporarily inserted into the company with a contract lasting between 9 and 15 months, will have the task of guiding and supporting the innovation and technological transformation of the entity, focusing on various enabling technologies, including big data, cloud computing, cyber security, simulation, advanced robotics and many others.
Qualified expenses also include fees for consultancy aimed at renewing the management and organizational structures of companies, as well as facilitating access to financial and capital markets.
Excluded Expenses: Expenses for consultancy services related to ordinary administrative or commercial activities, such as those in tax, accounting, legal or simple commercial promotion matters, are excluded from the contribution.
Innovation Manager Consultant Requirements: The Innovation Manager profile must meet rigorous criteria. He may be registered in the registers of innovation managers at various bodies, such as Unioncamere or representative associations, or possess specific academic qualifications such as a doctorate or a master's degree in technical-scientific fields. Alternatively, documented experience in specific roles at companies can be a valid selection criterion.
Consulting company requirements: The interested consulting companies must have been in existence for at least 24 months and have carried out projects in the areas indicated by the decree. Accreditation in specific recognized registers or lists is a further selection criterion.
Upcoming deadlines: Interested companies and professionals have until 12.00 on November 23, 2023 to submit their applications.
