Film Commission Torino Piemonte, in its activity of supporting cinematographic and television productions working in the Piedmont area, has always recognized the short film as an art form with its own specific identity and at the same time an important experience for the world of young authors and independent productions, which find in the "short" a first access to the world of cinema and the dynamics of the set, a fundamental area of ​​freedom and experimentation for developing and testing new narrative and production formulas. 

Who is it aimed at?

The beneficiaries of the contributions provided for by this announcement are SMEs which have been established for at least one year on the deadline for submitting the application and which at the time of submitting the application are in possession of the following requirements: a) be registered in the Company Register or to an equivalent register in a Member State of the European Union or an equivalent State; b) be independent producers; c) operate mainly in the sector of "Film, video and television program production activities" (ATECO code 2007 J 59.11, NACE code J 59.11 or non-European equivalent). Companies that have a Chamber of Commerce code ATECO 59.11, even non-primary ones, are admitted, as long as their CV highlights a suitable film production activity. Under no circumstances will companies be admitted that do not have evidence of the ATECO code 59.11 on their Chamber of Commerce certificate. 

What does it predict

The support granted to the project cannot exceed 50% of the estimated spending budget for the creation of the short film, in compliance in any case with the rules of cumulation with other public subsidies, as specified in point 2.6. of this announcement. Furthermore, taking into account the available resources and the unquestionable judgment of the Evaluation Commission, it is specified that the contributions assigned to each project cannot in any case be: - less than Euro 5,000.00 (five thousand/00); - greater than Euro 20,000.00 (twenty thousand/00).
