The Piemonte Doc Film Fund, the first experience in Italy of supporting documentaries through a specific fund, is part of a complex action to promote and support cinematographic and audiovisual production initiatives launched in 1996 by the Piedmont Region, in agreement with the City of Turin and continued starting in 2000 with the birth of the Film Commission Torino Piemonte Foundation. The strengthening of the collaboration between the Piedmont Region and the Torino Piedmont Film Commission has led to the convergence of the different experiences and skills in a unitary project of great and innovative scope focused on the documentary sector, fundamental both from an artistic and cultural point of view, as a space for reflection , investigation and memory, both as an opportunity for professional growth of independent cinema, a laboratory for new authors and new trends, through the call called "Piemonte Doc Film Fund" and the related granting of non-repayable contributions to support the audiovisual productions of documentary films.
Who is it aimed at?
The beneficiaries of the contributions provided for by this announcement are SMEs that have been established for at least one year on the deadline for submitting the application and that at the time of submitting the application are in possession of the following requirements: a) be registered in the Company Register or to an equivalent register in a member state of the European Union or an equivalent state; b) be independent producers; c) operate mainly in the sector of "Film, video and television program production activities" (ATECO code 2007 J 59.11, NACE code J 59.11 or non-European equivalent). Companies that have a Chamber of Commerce code ATECO 59.11, even non-primary ones, are admitted, as long as their CV highlights a suitable film production activity. Under no circumstances will companies be admitted that do not have evidence of the ATECO code 59.11 on their Chamber of Commerce certificate.
What does it predict
The support granted to the project cannot exceed 50% of the estimated expenditure budget for the phase indicated in the support request ("development" OR "production"), and cannot in any case be: a. development: less than Euro 5,000.00 (five thousand/00) and greater than Euro 20,000.00 (twenty thousand/00)b. production: less than Euro 5,000.00 (five thousand/00) and greater than Euro 60,000.00 (sixty thousand/00) Furthermore, the total amount of financing for the same documentary project (development phase + production phase) cannot in any case be greater than 50% of the overall estimated spending budget and the overall amount of Euro 70,000.00 (seventy thousand/00).
