What does it predict
The expansion and enhancement of the external spaces of the Carrara Academy: has the aim of integrating a newly built covered walkway within the existing museum itinerary, added in the footsteps of the existing one. Its inclusion will allow you to take advantage of the different levels of the building and will allow you to walk and enjoy views of the walls and the Upper Town through panoramic openings, as well as going out into the terraced green area and stopping there. It is planned to accommodate a large lift necessary to allow, even for users with disabilities, access to the structure and gardens. Furthermore, the intervention contemplates the restoration and expansion of the existing rustic body near the garden by implementing the reuse of the open terraced and planting spaces located at the foot of the medieval and Venetian walls and the creation of a refreshment point. Furthermore, the restoration of the garden is envisaged with the treatment of the walls of the terraces of the stairs, the integration of the paths to improve accessibility and the creation of rest areas for staying and outdoor recreational activities;
