The ONFOODS Program (PE_00000003) financed by the European Union – Next Generation EU on PNRR MUR funds – Mission 4 Component 2 – “From research to business” – Investment 1.3. “Creation of Partnerships Extended to universities, research centers and companies for the financing of basic research projects” promotes a scheme based on cascade funding (Cascade funding) to support research projects promoted by companies and public research bodies and private individuals external to the Partnership interested in the topics covered by the HUB and the SPOKEs, through the provision of appropriate funding. The objective is to involve subjects interested in implementing fundamental and applied research and technology transfer projects in the field of food and nutrition, which are original and innovative, of medium to large dimensions
Who is it aimed at?
This Call finances Collaborative Research and Development Projects, i.e. carried out in "effective collaboration". The following entities in partnership, established or being established may request the benefits referred to in this Notice: • Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (hereinafter also MSMEs) having the dimensional parameters referred to in Annex I of EC Regulation 2008/800 of the Commission of 6 August 2008 (General Block Exemption Regulation) in OJEU L 214 of 9.8.2008; • Large Enterprises (hereinafter also GI) provided that the requirement for collaboration with at least one MSME persists; • State Universities and Research Organisations, public and private, supervised and not supervised by the MUR and not already affiliated to the Extended Partnership ONFOODS.
What does it predict
Interventions that include activities such as: 1. are considered eligible. Fundamental Research2. Industrial Research3. Experimental Development Each project proposal must provide that the financial resources referred to in this announcement are allocated to the regions of Southern Italy (Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily) for at least 88%. The projects may have a total cost between a minimum of €400,000 and a maximum of €1,000,000. The benefit will be in the form of a non-repayable contribution.
