this announcement contributes to the reduction of territorial gaps between the more and less developed regions of the Italian territory, within the scope of the CN/ECS/PE "National Biodiversity Future Center - NBFC" approved with funding granting decree no. 1034 of 06/17/2022, with the aim of financing Proof of Concept (Po C) and prototyping projects aimed at the development of new/improved products, processes or services. This aim is pursued through the provision of appropriate funding to research and knowledge dissemination organizations (hereinafter Od R), as defined pursuant to Regulation (EU) no. 651/2014 point 83. 

Who is it aimed at?

Research organisations, public and private (University, Public research body, Research institute). 

What does it predict

The call finances projects that are consistent, in terms of repercussions and impacts, with the research and innovation themes of Spoke 5 (University of Milan - Bicocca) of the CN "National Biodiversity Future Center - NBFC" and, where possible, with the smart specialization strategy (S3) of the region(s) in which the beneficiary has its operational headquarters. When submitting the application, the Supervisory Board will have to highlight these elements of coherence and relevance, which will be subject to an assessment of merit. In particular, consistently with the activities of the Spoke, the call finances research and development activities on the following topics: a. Innovative research in an operational environment for the study of urban flora: identification of stress response.b. Innovative research in an urban environment to study the functional biodiversity and response to stress of birds, reptiles and hymenoptera.
