The 2023 Collective Trademark Notice promoted by the General Directorate for the Protection of Industrial Property - UIBM of the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, and managed by Unioncamere intends to support the promotion of collective and certification trademarks abroad. The financial resources of the 2023 Collective Trademarks Directorial Decree amount to €2,365,389.00. The object of the benefit is the implementation of a project for the promotion abroad of a collective or certification brand, already registered at the time of submitting the application.

Who is it aimed at?

The following can benefit from the facilitation for the promotion abroad of collective brands and certification: the associations representing the production categories, the protection consortia referred to in the art. 53 of law 24 April 1998, n. 128, other associative or cooperative bodies. At the time of submitting the application, the beneficiaries must be the owners of a collective or certification mark, or be in possession of suitable qualifications for the use and/or management of an already registered collective or certification mark.

What does it predict

The benefits are granted to the extent of 70% of the expenses deemed eligible. The eligible expenses concern the following INITIATIVES: - INITIATIVE A - International trade fairs and shows, - INITIATIVE B - Events collateral to international trade fairs, - INITIATIVE C - Bilateral meetings with foreign associations, - INITIATIVE D - Seminars in Italy with foreign operators and other abroad, - INITIATIVE E – Communication actions on the foreign market, also through large-scale retail trade and online channels, - INITIATIVE F – Creation of virtual communities to support the brand. The maximum amount of the subsidy in favor of each beneficiary cannot exceed 150,000.00 euros for one or more subsidy applications relating to different collective or certification brands. It is possible to submit only one subsidy application for each brand registered collective or certification. It is not possible to submit an application for a subsidy amount of less than 20,000.00 Euros. Expenses incurred for the acquisition of external specialist services relating to expenditure titles issued from 2 October 2023 will be recognized as eligible. The project must be concluded within 6 months of the notification of granting of the benefit.
