The “Puglia Innovation Center for Safety and Security – PICS2”, a technology transfer center that has earned the Seal of Excellence, a quality mark recognized by the European Commission, aims to support businesses and public bodies, which operate in Puglia and in the national territory, through paths designed to facilitate the digital transition with a focus on the issues of intelligent integration of data and services, security (protection from accidental events, people's health and well-being, environmental protection, protection from disasters natural) and security (protection of industrial, logistical, customs and energy infrastructures, both physical and digital, from deliberate attacks). The PICS2 partnership is based on a solid cooperation mechanism characterized by a network of companies with different skills and sectors of activity. The fulcrum of the network is the LUM University which coordinates the project, as an implementing body, playing an important role as an aggregator of supply and demand and managing relationships, promotion and provision of services which will be free for micro and small businesses and owned by medium and large businesses in proportion. The services offered by the partnership of the technology transfer center "Puglia Innovation Center for Safety and Security - PICS2" can be classified into five main categories: 1) Technical Audit, Evaluation of Technological Maturity (Assessment); 2) Try before investing; 3) Training; 4) Advice on access to financing; 5) Consultancy on process and product technological innovation, networking and awareness raising. The cost of these services varies depending on the type of service requested and the characteristics of the beneficiary. The subsidy can reach 100% of the cost of the service requested for public administrations and micro and small businesses and decreases as the size of the beneficiary company increases and depending on the specificity of the service requested.
