Financing of research and development projects in the civil aerospace sector (law no. 808/85).
Who is it aimed at?
Companies that mainly carry out industrial activities in the aerospace sector can participate in the tender. The companies, in the two financial years preceding the submission of the application, must have had an average turnover of at least 60% for large companies or at least 25% for SMEs, from aircraft design, construction, transformation and maintenance activities, aerospace, mechanical and electronic engines, systems and equipment. Furthermore, companies must meet the following requirements: - have a permanent establishment in Italy, - be regularly incorporated and registered in the Companies Register, - be in the full and free exercise of their rights, not be in voluntary liquidation and not be subject to insolvency proceedings, - not being included among the companies that have received and subsequently not returned the aid identified as illegal or incompatible by the European Commission, - being in compliance with the repayment of sums due in relation to provisions for the revocation of benefits granted by the Ministry , – not be in conditions that would result in being a company in difficulty pursuant to European Commission communication 249/1 of 31.7.2014.
What does it predict
The subsidized loans are granted at zero interest to a maximum of 70% of the project expenses/costs for large companies, and 85% for SMEs, without prejudice to compliance with the ESL ceilings established by Regulation (EU) No. 651 /2014 cited in the introduction. In the case of projects carried out by multiple companies in an associated form, these percentages are increased by 5% for large companies and by 10% for SMEs, provided that no company bears more than 70% of the project costs alone.
