Things

The Fund for industrial and biomedical research and development works to strengthen research, development and industrial reconversion of the biomedical sector for the production of new drugs and vaccines, diagnostic products and medical devices, also through the creation of highly specialized poles.

Who is it aimed at?

Startups and companies, highly specialized centers and other entities operating in the biomedical sector supply chain.

What does it predict

The Fund operates through the following intervention methods: a. risk financing and support for companies in the biomedical sector supply chain, through direct and indirect investments; b. financing and support of research and development activities in the biomedical sector; c. creation of highly specialized centers in the biomedical sector; d. other interventions to support the biomedical sector which may include the creation of further forms of collaboration or partnership in the biomedical sector. The aforementioned intervention methods can operate concurrently, with the option of admitting a single initiative to benefit from the different forms of support provided even in combination with each other. The various interventions of the Fund are activated from time to time on the basis of procedures that guarantee the transparency of the initiatives.
