It supports the implementation of large-scale industrial collaboration initiatives, which bring together knowledge, skills, financial resources and economic actors from countries in at least two European Union states. The partnership must achieve objectives of radical innovation and of great technological and productive relevance, along the strategic European value chains. The projects address systemic or market failures and common challenges for the sustainable growth and competitiveness of the national and European economy, on which public authorities intervene to promote the initiatives, financially support the execution and achievement of their objectives and increase the industrial and technological impacts on the production system.
Who is it aimed at?
• Companies of any size, recipients of state aid authorized by the European Commission. • Research organisations, associated with the project and identified within an authorized IPCEI.
What does it predict
The beneficiaries are selected following an expression of interest and subsequent notification of the project to the European Commission. The IPCEI Fund grants the benefits by ministerial decree in compliance with the methods, conditions and measures contained in the European Authorization Decision. The conditions for the authorization of aid are reported in the European Commission Communication relating to the criteria for the analysis of compatibility with the internal market of State aid.
