How the portal for submitting the financing application works: From 09:00 on 25 July 2024 it will be possible to access the Portal for completing and submitting financing requests relating to both the new "Strengthening African markets" instrument and the new conditions dedicated to Africa of the tools "Market insertion", "Certifications and consultancy", "Fairs and Events", "E-commerce", "Temporary Manager". - From 6.00 pm on July 24th until 9.00 am on July 25th the Portal will be offline to allow it to be updated in view of the opening and it will not be possible to carry out any operations. The instrument allows the financing of expenses aimed at strengthening the financial solidity of the company, also in Italy, as well as that of expenses strictly connected to the realization of investments, including expenses for the training of African personnel in Italy or in Africa, travel, entry and regularization in Italy for hiring. 

Who is it aimed at?

The tool is aimed at Italian companies that are permanently present or export or obtain supplies on the African continent, or that are permanently suppliers of the aforementioned companies, according to the requirements set out in Circular 1/394/2024 (Par. 2.2, G). 

What does it predict

Maximum amount that can be financed: the maximum amount of the Subsidy Intervention that can be requested is equal to the lesser of: – 35% of the average revenues resulting from the last two financial statements (item A1 of the income statement); – €500,000 for Micro Enterprises; €2,500,000 for SMEs and innovative start-ups; €5,000,000 for Other businesses; – Minimum amount equal to €10,000; Maximum non-repayable amount: – up to 20% of the total amount of the Facilitative Intervention requested, up to a maximum of €200,000.00 and in any case within the limits of the ceiling de minimis available for the company, for companies with at least one operational headquarters established for at least 6 months in a region of Southern Italy; – up to 10% of the amount of the Facilitative Intervention requested, up to a maximum of €100,000.00 and in any case within the limits of the ceiling de minimis available for the company, for all other companies; It is also possible to request exemption from the provision of guarantees* *measure pursuant to Article 15 of Legislative Decree 113/2024 and subject to its conversion into law.
