The three main objectives pursued during the DIVA project were: Raise awareness of the value and methods of innovation generated by art (Art Thinking) and design thinking through the identification of trends connected to its use in product design in SMEs and the increase in local communities' knowledge and propensity for innovation generated by art and innovative business approaches. The specific activities planned to achieve the objective consist of an analysis of user needs and SWOT analysis, the consolidation of cross-border cooperation between actors and awareness-raising actions on the issues of design and art thinking, until the development of the DIVA cooperation, the first project milestone that summarizes and includes tools and techniques to encourage the increase in knowledge and the use of art-based business approaches to encourage the development of innovations with positive effects on the social system. Promote and foster artistic thinking for the generation of disruptive innovations with an impact on economic and social development in the cross-border area thanks to new creative platforms (Hubs). The activities intended to achieve this result are: identification and development of tools to facilitate cross fertilization between cultural and creative enterprises and traditional small and medium-sized enterprises, capacity building activities aimed at local operators, creating networks of local operators to encourage cooperation between sectors, Definition of HUBs to strengthen cooperation between ICCs and SMEs; Experiment with techniques aimed at strengthening cross-border cooperation between technological, artistic, scientific companies and communities for the co-creation of technical and social innovations through pilot projects through preparatory activities for the structuring of a management system for the selection of pilot projects, finalization and launch of the tender by the Central Contracting Authority, monitoring of the implementation of pilot projects, dissemination of the results achieved by the pilot projects in the Program Area to strengthen the impact of the model proposed for businesses.

Who is it aimed at?

The overall objective of the project is to create an ecosystem of cross-border cooperation in which social and technological innovations for future society will emerge. The basic intention is to improve cross-border cooperation between Italian and Slovenian innovation platforms, educational institutions and small and medium-sized enterprises. Particular attention will be paid to developing and implementing methodologies to facilitate and encourage collaboration between creative and artistic individuals or organizations and SMEs.
