Pursuant to article 2, paragraph 1, of the decree of the President of the Council of Ministers of 10 August 2023, companies operating exclusive points of sale for the resale of newspapers and magazines are recognized, for the year 2023, with a one-off flat-rate contribution up to 2,000 euros, increased to 3,000 euros for exclusive sales points located in the Internal Areas, referred to in the 2020 Internal Areas Map, valid for the 2021-2027 programming cycle, updated by the Inter-ministerial Committee for programming and sustainable development (CIPESS ). The benefit is recognized within the limit of 4 million euros, which constitutes a spending ceiling. The contribution is aimed at encouraging the implementation of home delivery projects of daily newspapers and periodicals, opening on Sundays, the supply of publications to neighboring businesses and the activation of additional sales points.
Who is it aimed at?
The eligibility requirements for the contribution are: - the exercise of the exclusive resale activity of newspapers and magazines, with the indication in the business register of the ATECO classification code 47.62.10, as the primary and/or prevalent activity code; not be subjected to voluntary, compulsory administrative or judicial liquidation procedures.
What does it predict
The contribution is recognized upon the implementation of at least one of the following activities carried out in the period 1 January - 31 December 2023: a) implementation of home delivery projects of daily newspapers and periodicals; b) Sunday opening equal to at least 50 percent on Sundays on an annual basis; c) supply of publications to neighboring businesses; d) activation of one or more additional sales points.
