The intervention aims to support the Prato textile industry, seriously damaged by the COVID-19 epidemiological emergency, through the protection of supply chains and the planning of design, experimentation, research and development activities in the sector. The resources made available amount to 10 million euros.
Who is it aimed at?
Companies operating in the textile sector that are part of the Prato industrial district can benefit from the concessions.
What does it predict
The incentive promotes the implementation of projects capable of increasing the competitiveness of the proposing companies with positive repercussions on the Prato textile district, aimed at the implementation of investment programs with a high content of innovation and sustainability, which may also include the carrying out of industrial research or experimental development activities, provided that the latter are strictly connected and functional to the aims of the project and in any case not predominant within the overall spending programme. In particular, entrepreneurial initiatives must be attributable to one or more of the following lines of intervention: a) socio-environmental sustainability of production; b) technological and digital transformation and innovation of the company; c) strengthening of the production chain. The projects can also be presented as part of integrated district projects. The benefits, in the form of a non-repayable contribution, are granted in the amount indicated in the notices adopted by the Municipality of Prato, which cannot in any case exceed 70% (seventy percent) of the eligible expenses, within the limits of the financial allocation of the decree, equal to to euro 10,000,000.00 pursuant to and in compliance with the de minimis regulation or the provisions of the exemption regulation or other provisions in force from time to time regarding state aid that may be applicable to the subsidized intervention activated, as established in the aforementioned alerts. The concessions are granted by the Municipality of Prato according to the methods defined in specific notices and measures adopted by the same Municipality. To obtain the contribution, interested companies submit a specific application with the methods and contents identified by the notices adopted by the Municipality of Prato. The second tender, issued by the Municipality of Prato, provides for non-repayable contributions to implement investment programs that have as their objective the improvement of the socio-environmental sustainability of production and/or the technological and digital transformation of the company.
