Things
It is the incentive to encourage the purchase of TVs compatible with the new digital terrestrial transmission standard DVB-T2 - HEVC MAIN 10 and the scrapping of obsolete devices through correct disposal of electronic waste. You can benefit from the relief by simultaneously scrapping a television purchased before 22 December 2018. With the Directorial Decree of 10 November 2022, the final deadline for disbursement of the contribution is set at 11.59pm on 12 November 2022.
Who is it aimed at?
All citizens resident in Italy without ISEE limits. The benefit is however linked to the family unit as only one bonus is granted per family for the purchase of a television. To take advantage of the contribution you must: - be resident in Italy - correctly scrap a television purchased before 22 December 2018 - be up to date with the payment of the subscription fee for the radio broadcasting service. Furthermore, natural persons resident in Italy who on 31 December 2020 are aged 75 years or older and exempt from paying the TV license fee for an annual family income not exceeding 8 thousand euros are also entitled to the bonus.
What does it predict
The bonus consists of a 20% discount on the purchase price, up to a maximum amount of 100 euros. The contribution for scrapping the TV, aimed at purchasing a new device, can be cumulated with the previous incentive (TV Decoder Bonus). Scrapping takes place directly at the retailers participating in the initiative and where the new television is purchased, delivering the old TV at the time of purchase. You can also decide to dispose of the old TV in an authorized recycling center, before going to buy the new one. In this case, the WEEE collection center employee will have to validate the form certifying the delivery of the appliance.
