The i NEST Program (ECS00000043) financed by the European Union – Next Generation EU on PNRR MUR funds – M4C2 – Investment 1.5. "Innovation Ecosystems" notice promotes a scheme based on cascade funding to support MSMEs, start-ups and other entities interested in ecosystem issues and the topics covered by the Spokes and also involving ecosystem actors . In particular, the NEST ecosystem envisages the implementation of cascade calls to support industrial research and experimental development projects through the provision of appropriate funding.
Who is it aimed at?
The Call promotes support for Micro, Small, Medium and Large Enterprises, based in Southern Italy, involved individually or collaboratively, through the financing of pilot projects, demonstrators and/or experimental actions. The Projects must be oriented towards medium-high levels of technological maturity, capable of positioning themselves in the transition from industrial research to market-oriented innovation. The research activity can be strengthened through the involvement of research organisations, public or private, according to the methods and constraints specified in the Notice.
What does it predict
The topics financed by the call are closely related to the research activities of Spoke 4 - Cities, architecture and sustainable design. The research activities correspond, in terms of themes and objectives, to what is required by the call and are designed in dialogue and close correlation with the financed innovation activities. Spoke's research activity is structured into three Topics:1. Strategic plan for the development of the construction and sustainable design sectors2. Technological solutions for the construction and sustainable design sectors3. Interaction between environments and human beings in the construction and sustainable design sectors correspond, for this Call, to some large areas, called Domains, and a series of transversal Themes. The Notice reports the thematic specificities on which the Projects must focus.
