THE “TARANTO GLOBAL INNOVATION ACCELERATOR” MEASURE is aimed at promoting the birth and development of new innovative entrepreneurial realities that want to invest within the municipal area of Taranto. The strategic objective of the Notice is to trigger processes of growth, strengthening and valorization of young talents, generate employment, promote the urban and social regeneration of the Municipality of Taranto, accelerate the development and innovation of the territory. Specifically, it is intended to support the incubation and acceleration of "ideas", innovative products and services capable of producing socio-health, environmental and cultural impacts, improving the competitiveness of territories and promoting urban and social regeneration.
Who is it aimed at?
Micro and small businesses and innovative startups already established and in the process of being established which, in order to demonstrate that they are innovative startups, must possess one of the following requirements: sustains R&D expenses equal to at least 15% of the greater value between cost and total value of production ; employs highly qualified personnel (at least 1/3 PhDs, PhD students or researchers, or at least 2/3 with a master's degree), is the owner, custodian or licensee of at least one patent or owner of registered software. The proposing entity must also possess the following requirements on the date of submission of the application - if relevant to the relevant case in point - and present a project proposal that has the relevant requirements listed below: possess at least one office (legal and or operational) in the province of Taranto or, if established, undertake to activate the registered office in the province of Taranto; be in compliance with the payment of taxes and duties, regular contributions, be in compliance with anti-mafia legislation, possess the ability to contract with the public administration, not be responsible for serious professional offences, not have been convicted with a final sentence or decree criminal conviction, not being in a situation of conflict of interest, not being registered in the ANAC computer register for having submitted false declarations or false documentation in the tender procedures, not having submitted documentation or untruthful statements, observe the obligations of collective labor agreements and comply with legislation on health and safety at work, equal opportunities, inclusion of disabled people, environmental protection, not having exceeded 200,000.00 euros in aid over three financial years financial.
What does it predict
The same is intended to support the incubation and acceleration of "ideas", innovative products and services capable of producing socio-health, environmental, cultural impacts, improving the competitiveness of the territories and promoting urban and social regeneration. The incentive is aimed at innovative startups understood as joint-stock companies, including single-member LLCs, simplified LLCs and cooperative enterprises referred to in Legislative Decree 179/2012, converted into Law no. 221 of 12/18/2012, and those with prevalent mutuality pursuant to art. 2512 of the Civil Code, capable of carrying out projects of a research, development and innovation nature. The aid is based on the resources referred to in the Intervention Sheet 5J – “TARANTO vs COVID” 19 of the Social Regeneration Plan for the crisis area of Taranto approved by Decree of 07/08/2020 of the Ministry of Economic Development. is granted, in the form of a capital contribution, in 100% of the eligible investments, up to an amount not exceeding €90,000.00 disbursed in the form of a direct grant. The same is granted in accordance with the provisions of Art. 22 of Reg. 651/2014, therefore the ceiling established for state aid must be taken into account for the beneficiary. Applications will be funded until available resources are exhausted.
