The Polytechnic of Bari has announced a public notice for the presentation of Project Proposals for Research activities carried out by Universities, Public Research Bodies and other Research Organizations (not beneficiaries of State aid) as part of the Project Project Title "RESearch and innovation on future Telecommunications systems and networks, to make Italy more sm ART” (hereinafter RESTART), Project code PE00000001 financed under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Mission 4 “Education and research” – Component 2 “From research to business” – Investment 1.3, financed by the European Union – Next Generation EU. 

Who is it aimed at?

Recipients: they are start-ups and/or spin-offs and/or innovative SMEs, also originating from a Research Group or a single natural person, individually or in partnership, as long as they are established by the start date of the project. The following subjects can participate only in partnership with one or more start-ups, spin-offs or innovative SMEs: Research organizations (Od R) external to the RESTART Partnership, as defined pursuant to point 1.3 letter (ff) of the new CSR Regulations referred to in communication C (2022) 7388 of 19 October 2022, both public and private which have registered office and operational unit or laboratory on the national territory, and which are not spokes or affiliates of the RESTART Programme, Micro, Small and Medium sized enterprises can participate companies (MSMEs), external to the RESTART Partnership, having the dimensional parameters referred to in Annex I of REG (EC) no. 800/2008 of the Commission of 6 August 2008 (General Block Exemption Regulation) in OJEU L 214 of 9.8.2008; Large Enterprises (GI), external to the RESTART Partnership. 

What does it predict

The project proposals must be consistent in terms of repercussions and impacts of the results with the research and innovation themes indicated by the Spoke (see Attachment 3 - Topic for the presentation of the projects). The proposer must provide, in the form of the project to be presented at the time of the application, the elements of coherence and relevance indicated in the art. 4.2. of this Notice. For the purposes of admissibility of the proposal, the latter must include activities relating to the fields of intervention: – 022 – Research and innovation processes, technology transfer and cooperation between companies focused on the low-carbon economy, resilience and on adaptation to climate change, -023 – Research and innovation processes, technology transfer and business cooperation focused on the circular economy; and 006 – Investments in intangible assets in public research centers and public higher education directly linked to research and innovation activities referred to in article 3 of the MUR Notice n. 341 of 03/15/2022. Specifically, as specified in the art. 7, co. 2, of the aforementioned Notice (fourth bullet point), the activities attributable to the three fields of intervention must respect, for our EP, the following percentages: – 022: 25% – 023: 25% – 006: 50% It is the subject's discretion proposer foresee a different distribution of the activities of the Extended Partnership between the different fields of intervention envisaged by the Notice, without prejudice to the fact that the % indicated for the fields of intervention 022 and 023 in relation to each topic are to be considered minimum.
