Unioncamere, in collaboration with the Department for Equal Opportunities, promotes the certification project of gender equality for Italian small and medium-sized enterprises, holding the role of actuator, for the realization of the objectives of the intervention of the PNRR M5C1-I1. 3 "gender equality certification system". The announcement makes available to companies, to accompany them towards the reduction of the gender gap in the company and thus obtain the certification of gender equality
Who is it aimed at?
The notice is addressed to micro, small and medium -sized enterprises that:
- they have at least one (1) employee in organic plan;
- are the owners of the active VAT number;
- have registered and operational headquarters in Italy or have a tax domicile in Italy if they are only the VAT number;
- are in full exercise of their rights, not in liquidation (voluntary or judicial), nor subject to liquidation bankruptcy procedures;
- They are not subject to causes of prohibition, forfeiture or suspension pursuant to anti -mafia legislation (Legislative Decree 159/2011 and SMI);
- have no administrative procedures in progress connected to acts of revocation for undue perception of public resources;
- are in compliance with the obligation to submit the "Report on the situation of male and female staff" (art. 46, Legislative Decree 198/2006 and SMI), if applicable;
- are in compliance with the hires provided for by law 68/1999 on the targeted placement of the disabled;
- do not carry out activities in contrast with the principle of "not cause significant damage" (DNSH);
- have completed and positively completed the pre-screening online test (self-assessment) on the Unioncamere and accessible by registration.
What does it predict
For technical assistance and accompaniment services, the announcement provides for a voucher that allows companies to receive tutoring and technical-generational support through individual meetings with experts commissioned by the actuator. The extent of the voucher is equal to:
- Euro 1,639.34 net of VAT for processes analysis services, for the personalization of documents/tools of the gender equality management system made available by the implementing subject, for the implementation of the management system for the equality of gender, for monitoring performance indicators and the definition of strategic objectives.

Euro 409.84 net of VAT for the pre-service of the conformity of the management system adopted by the company to the prescriptions of the UNI/PDR 125: 2022 practice.
For the certification services of gender equality, the announcement provides that the contribution will be provided directly by the actuator to the certification body (ODC) after obtaining the certification . The company will not have to bear any cost for certification services, within the limits of the contribution granted. For each Audit day of the ODC, the implementing subject provides a contribution up to a maximum of 1,200.00 euros net of VAT. This amount is an omnic -comprehensive of all the skills and expenses for the issue of the first certification (trips, activation of the practice, examination of the application; document verification; verification in place and direct observation of the activity of the certified organization, issue of the certificate, etc. ) supported by the ODC. The maximum amount for subsidized services , for individual company, is however 10,245.00 euros net of VAT, determined on the basis of the audit times provided by the international document IAF MD 05 and number of equivalent employees involved in the processes deemed more critical as part of the gender equality management system.
